Dragon’s Back

One of my favorite things about Hong Kong is that although it’s a very busy city, nature is easy to find. There are many places to escape to if you need a break, and Dragon’s Back is a great option. I would say it’s an easy to moderate hike. There are lots of stairs on the way up. The view is also very similar to the Makapu’u Point Lighthouse trail in Hawaii, actually.

To get there:
MTR Shau Kei Wan station Exit A3 towards the bus terminal. Take bus 9 to To Tei Wan, Shak O Road. (You can use your Octopus Card to pay for the bus.)

To return:
Come back down the trail to Shak O Road to take bus 9 back to the bus terminal and back to MTR Shau Kei Wan station.

Pay attention to the road signs, I almost missed the stop. Once you’re at the right stop, there will be signs pointing you to the direction of the trail.
